A year or two ago Pebble released one the first smart watches that was (and is) beloved by its very dedicated user base. This new version adds a color screen and more attractive design while still retaining its weeklong battery life.

This is thanks to its e-paper screen that consumes practically no power while the screen is at idle.

The Pebble Time pairs with Android phones as well as the iPhone. I found the usability on the iPhone to be very limiting, however. Even simple tasks like replying to text messages simply doesn't work on the iOS platform due to Apple's restrictions. Pebble does allow for some interaction on the Android platform.

Overall the watch is a bit limited compared to the Apple Watch and some of the Android Wear options. But I do like its small size and long battery life.
